For the awe-inspiring Dubai Expo 2020 Closing Ceremony, Evolution Scenic was commissioned by Five Currents LLC to produce a centerpiece that redefined scenic design.

The giant gold ring, inspired by the iconic Expo rings, concealed advanced technology and water tanks, enabling it to transform into a spectacular rain curtain. Suspended from the iconic Al Wasl Dome, this breathtaking element captivated the audience, creating an unforgettable highlight of the event.

Deliverables and Scenic Excellence

• Giant Gold Ring: Designed and fabricated a visually stunning gold ring, combining elegance and grandeur to reflect Expo’s theme.
• Integrated Rain Curtain Technology: Engineered the structure to house hidden water tanks and advanced systems, enabling the ring to transform into a seamless rain curtain during the live performance.
• Aerial Installation Expertise: Built to rigorous safety standards, the structure was designed to be securely flown 20 meters above the stage, perfectly aligning with the dome's rigging system.
• High-Quality Materials: Delivered an elegant gold finish with durable materials, ensuring both visual appeal and structural integrity.
• Meticulous Testing: Conducted extensive pre-event testing to ensure flawless operation of the rain curtain effect during the ceremony.
