The opening ceremony of EXPO 2020 was a dazzling spectacular produced by global heavyweights Five Currents. Working alongside industry leaders such as Stage One, New Substance and Creative Technologies Evolution expertly crafted the sway-pole stages and mobile scenic elements. following the creative lead of Patrick Larsen we designed and produced these stunning show components packed with detail and technology. Utilizing a diverse range of materials including wood, metal, fabrics, and fiber optic cable, Evolution brought the beauty of blooming flowers to life.
Every detail was carefully considered, from the integration of color-changing fiber optics, to the intricate kinetic motion of the spiraling petals and twisting stems. These elements were designed with both manual and wireless functionality in mind, ensuring maximum mobility for the performers. Rigorous testing and fine-tuning resulted in an awe-inspiring display, captivating audiences with its intricate beauty.
