At Evolution, we embrace challenges and opportunities with open arms. So when tasked with building and managing the Ideas Festival and Forum, we eagerly accepted the offer. The concept of hosting a fun-filled event on the grounds of a prestigious university for a globally recognized client was too good to resist.
Bringing the festival to life, we constructed big, bold signs to welcome the attendees. These signs were made of stacked timber frames with LED lights and custom branding, and presented a challenge due to their size, quantity, and diverse layouts. However, our expert planning and coded plans ensured that each sign was assembled correctly and seamlessly. Along with the signs, we crafted several other elements including entrance counters, custom tables for workshops, eye-catching wavy bookshelves, and giant origami decor pieces. The main stage was the centerpiece of the festival, and our design incorporated simple yet functional side wings, screen surrounds, stage facades, flooring, and steps. We also transformed the internal talks stage into a timber-framed space with natural wooden cladding around the venue's in-house projection screen. Precise measurements were crucial to ensure a seamless and visually appealing result. For the Forum, we elevated the atmosphere with a sophisticated, corporate vibe. The full-height stage was designed to fill the room and provide grandeur. Made of solid scenic flats, the surface was carefully joined, filled, and painted to ensure an absolute seamless finish for stage lighting and projection. The final result was a testament to the skill and expertise of our team. In conclusion, bringing the Ideas Festival and Forum to life was an exciting and rewarding experience for the Evolution team. We enjoyed crafting the oversized pieces and were proud of the final outcome. |
