FABRICATION, FINISHING + INSTALLATION


Technical and workshop teams review how each activation will be manufactured and assembled. They assess whether completed sections can pass through the proposed delivery route, whether components are unnecessarily heavy, whether fixings will remain accessible and how scenic finishes will continue across transport joints. Mock-ups and finish samples may be prepared where a material, connection or surface treatment needs to be tested before it is repeated across the full build.


Once the technical approach has been approved, the activation moves through the relevant production departments. Depending on the design, this may include carpentry, metal fabrication, CNC production, 3D sculpture, scenic paintwork, textiles, graphics and final workshop assembly. Where practical, major sections are dry-fitted before dispatch so that alignment, connections, finish transitions and installation sequences can be checked before the structure reaches site.
