Milestone corporate events often require temporary environments that feel polished and ceremonial despite being delivered within unconventional venues. To mark ADNOC Logistics & Services’ acquisition of Zakher Marine International (ZMI), Evolution Scenic delivered a bespoke scenic and branding package aboard ZMI’s Sentinel Barge at Mina Zayed in Abu Dhabi.


The event hosted 70 VIP guests and media, bringing together scenic fabrication, indoor and outdoor branding, custom backdrops, furniture and floral styling. The result was a refined setting that transformed the working maritime environment into a professional venue appropriate to the significance of the acquisition.

The Challenge


The event needed to communicate the importance of a major corporate acquisition while taking place aboard a barge rather than within a conventional event venue.


The setting introduced clear spatial and presentation challenges. Scenic elements had to be integrated carefully into the existing maritime environment, while guest-facing areas needed to feel cohesive, comfortable and appropriate for VIPs and media.


Branding also had to work across both indoor and outdoor areas, with strong focal points required for speeches, photography and media coverage.

The Solution


Evolution Scenic developed and installed a coordinated package of scenic, branding and hospitality elements across the barge.


A large custom photo opportunity platform was designed and fabricated as one of the event’s main visual features, creating a dedicated location for guest photography and media content.


Indoor and outdoor branding was installed throughout the venue, ensuring the event identity remained consistent across different areas of the barge.


Custom backdrops were produced for speeches and photographic moments, providing controlled visual focal points for both guests and media.


Furniture arrangements and floral displays were also introduced to soften the industrial character of the maritime setting and create a more refined hospitality environment.


By coordinating scenic fabrication, branding and styling as one package, Evolution Scenic transformed the barge into a polished event venue while preserving the distinctive character of the location.
