,Working for Kennedy, a leading international experiential consultancy, Evolution took on the challenge of delivering the finishing scope for the Forever Valentino exhibition at M7, the hub of design and innovation in Msheireb, Downtown Doha.
The exhibition was a tribute to the legendary designer Valentino Garavani and we were determined to make it a stunning masterpiece. 15 trucks full of materials crossed borders to bring our vision to life.
Inspired by the grandeur of the ancient Colosseum, we put our expertise in metal, wood, and fabric to work, constructing a massive, unique structure to house the designer's collections. Our technical design embodied the curves and shape of the Colosseum while maintaining a seamless finish.
The main challenge was the Gasometer structure, which was entirely made of steel tubes. The Evolution engineering team meticulously analysed the plan and developed a new fixing methodology to create a 6-ton technical structure with exceptional craftsmanship for showcasing the designer's apparel.
The beauty of the exhibition was further enhanced with wooden shelves with a powder-coated finish, 3D Mitoraj statues in fiber tissue material on MDF plinths, and a metal and polycarbonate sheet ceiling with DC 24V multicolour LED lights and printed backlit fabric material, creating a sky-like appearance.
We used multi-coloured acrylic panels for the signage, providing the perfect backdrop for the bespoke murals inside the exhibit spaces. Suspended from the truss with steel wire ropes, they added to the overall aesthetic of the exhibition, making it a testament to our team's expertise and artistry.
