How does UAE celebrate their Golden Jubilee..?
...with the most spectacular show ever seen in the region! From the design studios of Es Devlin and produced by the incomparable LarMac Live this tour de force took place on a giant multifaceted stage and superstructure which floated on the Hatta Dam, surrounded by beautiful scenery, all of which became the show space. We were approached regarding one particular challenge. At the show's crescendo the design demanded that 100 of UAE's most iconic buildings would appear to grow from the superstructure. They had to be accurate in their representation and fully self illuminated. Evo Scenic gladly accepted the opportunity and set about design, supply, and installation. By their nature each building was unique and required an individual approach to its automation and illumination. Combined with the fact that when concealed they had to fit in a space no bigger than 1.2m high and only 20cm deep (some of the towers extended more than 6m high when raised!) these scenic elements represent quite a feat of engineering. Fortunately, ingenuity is our hallmark and we produced these stunning pieces that were able to withstand the high winds, rains, and humidity in the mountain setting and perform on command for the show.
