High-level diplomatic events require scenic environments that communicate authority, clarity and consistency across both physical and virtual audiences. For the UAE Regional Climate Dialogue at Emirates Palace in April 2021, Evolution designed and delivered the full scenic environment for a summit attended by senior delegates from across the Gulf and MENA regions, including John Kerry, U.S. Special Presidential Envoy for Climate.


The event combined in-person and virtual participation, requiring a cohesive branded setting that worked equally well within the venue and on camera. Evolution’s scope included a bespoke main stage, integrated scenic branding, a hybrid photo-op installation and the full scenic package, all fabricated and installed within a demanding one-week production timeline.

The Challenge


The UAE Regional Climate Dialogue required a polished and highly controlled event environment suitable for senior international delegates and hybrid participation.


The scenic treatment needed to support live discussions while also presenting clearly to remote audiences. Stage composition, branding, sightlines and photo opportunities therefore had to work not only for guests inside the venue but also for cameras and virtual participants.


The compressed programme added further complexity. All scenic components needed to be designed, fabricated and installed within one week, leaving little margin for delays or late-stage changes.

The Solution


Evolution developed a bespoke scenic package designed specifically around the needs of the hybrid summit.


A custom main stage and backdrop were fabricated with integrated branding to create a strong and professional setting for speeches, discussions and virtual participation.


The scenic composition was developed to maintain a consistent visual identity across both live and broadcast-facing areas, ensuring that the event branding remained clear whether viewed from within the room or through remote feeds.


A dedicated photo-op installation was also created to incorporate both physical and virtual participants, helping bridge the gap between in-person attendance and remote engagement.

Branding was applied consistently across the wider scenic environment, reinforcing the event’s climate and sustainability themes without overwhelming the formal setting.


The full scenic package was produced and installed within the one-week programme, requiring tightly coordinated fabrication and on-site execution.
