Evolution were asked to produce 6 scenic elements along the scenic base to hold acrobatic sway poles used by performers . Each Flower captured the movement and magic of flowers in bloom. The mechanized flowers with sway pole base were a beautiful element of the Opening Ceremony, successfully executed by using various materials including wood, metal, fabrics , Fiber Optic cable. •Integration with colour changing fiber optics lamps and cables with illumination at ends and sides. •Continuous testing and reiterations to achieve kinetic motion including spiraling, petals twisting and opening and a movement imitating the blooming of the flower. •The bases were designed and developed to maximize mobility – both manual and battery powered wireless functionality.
