High-profile global forums require event environments that communicate significance without competing with the architecture around them. For the Reaching the Last Mile Forum at Louvre Abu Dhabi in November 2019, Evolution Scenic delivered a refined scenic package for an event attended by more than 250 global leaders focused on the eradication of infectious diseases.


Held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and in partnership with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the forum required scenic elements that could sit comfortably within one of Abu Dhabi’s most distinctive cultural venues. Evolution Scenic’s scope included the main stage, an outdoor exhibition environment, custom branded scenic elements and dedicated components for the REACH Awards ceremony.

The Challenge


The project required a sophisticated event environment to be installed within Louvre Abu Dhabi while respecting the venue’s architectural character and exacting standards.


The main stage needed to provide a strong focal point for high-profile speakers and guests without visually overpowering the surrounding setting.


The outdoor exhibition area also needed to present the work and contributions of participating foundations in a polished, museum-quality format.


Branding and awards elements had to feel integrated with the wider event rather than applied as separate temporary features, while all scenic components needed to be delivered and installed within the operational requirements of the venue.

The Solution


Evolution Scenic designed and fabricated a bespoke main stage with elegant scenic detailing tailored to the scale and character of the forum.


A dedicated outdoor exhibition space was also produced to showcase contributions from participating foundations. The exhibition was developed with a clean and considered scenic treatment suited to the setting of Louvre Abu Dhabi.


Custom scenic branding was integrated across the wider venue, allowing the event identity to remain visible while maintaining compatibility with the architecture and atmosphere of the site.


For the REACH Awards ceremony, Evolution Scenic produced bespoke scenic components including custom backdrops and detailed finishes designed to create a distinct and elevated setting for the awards programme.


Throughout the project, the team worked closely with the client to coordinate fabrication, installation and final presentation in line with the venue requirements and the objectives of the forum.

The completed Reaching the Last Mile Forum environment provided a polished and visually controlled setting for global leaders, foundations and stakeholders discussing the eradication of infectious diseases.


The main stage created a clear focal point for the forum programme, while the outdoor exhibition gave participating foundations a dedicated and carefully presented platform. The REACH Awards environment added a separate ceremonial layer without losing continuity with the wider event.
