    Exhibition & Scenic Fabrication


    Evolution Scenic was responsible for fabricating and installing the main scenic elements for the Renault stand at Expo 2020 Dubai. The project required a combination of scenic construction, metal fabrication, technical support structures and branded display elements. Each component had to work together as part of one cohesive exhibition environment.


    The scenic scope included the main platform, curved walling, display structures and supporting elements for the activation area. The fabrication process focused on creating clean forms, accurate alignment and a high-quality exhibition finish. Different materials were carefully coordinated to ensure the completed stand maintained a consistent visual language.


    The scenic elements also needed to accommodate technical features without compromising the overall design. This required close integration between structural requirements and the visible architectural surfaces. The fabrication team worked to ensure that each element could be efficiently assembled and installed within the pavilion environment.


    Attention was given to joints, edges and transitions between individual components. The completed scenic package provided a strong physical framework for Renault’s exhibition presence. It also allowed the branding, digital display and technical elements to feel integrated rather than added separately. The result was a refined exhibition environment designed to support both presentation and visitor engagement.

    Metal & Aluminium Fabrication


    Metal and aluminium fabrication played a major role in shaping the Renault exhibition stand. Evolution Scenic fabricated custom curved metal walling profiles, supporting frames and aluminium fascia elements. These components were produced to follow the curved geometry defined by the overall stand design.


    The aluminium fascia formed an important visible edge around the main platform and helped reinforce the architectural character of the space. Metal structures were also used to create the necessary support for scenic and technical components. Each fabricated section had to provide strength while maintaining a clean and lightweight visual appearance.


    The curved profiles required accurate forming and fabrication to ensure consistency across the installation. CNC and laser-cutting processes were used where required to improve manufacturing precision. These processes helped achieve clean edges, accurate dimensions and reliable interfaces between connected elements.


    The metalwork was coordinated with the scenic finishes so that structural components did not appear visually separate from the stand design. Fabrication tolerances were particularly important where curved sections met other architectural elements. The finished aluminium and metal components supported both the visual design and the practical requirements of the exhibition environment. This combination of engineering and finish quality was essential to achieving the final appearance of the Renault stand.

    Curved Exhibition Architecture


    Curved geometry was one of the most distinctive features of the Renault stand design. At the centre of the environment was a 62 sqm curved platform that established the main footprint of the activation. The platform was finished with a semi-gloss surface to provide a clean and refined presentation area. A curved aluminium fascia followed the platform edge and strengthened the visual continuity of the design.


    The curved form was extended through surrounding metal walling profiles that helped define the exhibition area. Maintaining a consistent radius and smooth visual flow was important throughout the fabrication process. Any variation in the curved profiles could have affected the overall appearance once the elements were installed together. The fabrication therefore required accurate measurement, forming and alignment across multiple components.


    The curved geometry also influenced how the screen structure, branding and technical elements were positioned within the stand. Rather than using conventional straight exhibition walls, the design relied on continuous architectural forms. This gave the Renault stand a more fluid and contemporary appearance within the France Pavilion. The platform, walling and fascia worked together to create a unified scenic language. The completed curved architecture provided a distinctive framework for Renault’s exhibition and brand activation.

    LED Screen & Technical Integration


    A magnetic LED screen formed one of the main digital features within the Renault exhibition environment. Evolution Scenic fabricated a custom metal monolith specifically to support and integrate the screen. The structure needed to provide sufficient strength and stability for the technical equipment. At the same time, it had to maintain the visual quality expected from the exhibition design.


    The monolith was therefore treated as both a structural support and an architectural feature. Its proportions and finish were coordinated with the surrounding platform, walling and scenic elements. This prevented the LED screen from appearing as an independent technical installation. Instead, the digital display became part of the overall scenic composition of the stand.


    The supporting structure also had to allow for practical access, installation and technical servicing requirements. Careful fabrication was required to maintain accurate dimensions for the screen interface and structural connections. The completed monolith provided a stable framework while maintaining a clean exhibition finish.


    This approach demonstrates how technical infrastructure can be incorporated directly into scenic architecture. The LED screen and its support structure ultimately functioned as one integrated visual and technical feature.

    Fabric Branding & Custom Rigging


    Transparent printed fabric was used to introduce suspended Renault branding within the exhibition space. The fabric elements provided a lightweight visual layer that contrasted with the more solid scenic and metal structures. Evolution Scenic fabricated metal framing to support the printed fabric and maintain the required form.


    The frames needed to remain visually discreet while providing sufficient stability for the suspended elements. Custom rigging points were also developed to connect the branding elements safely to the pavilion infrastructure. The position of each suspended component had to be coordinated with the platform, walling, screen and visitor circulation areas.


    This ensured that the branding remained visible without interfering with other parts of the activation. The transparent quality of the material helped preserve openness within the stand while still delivering strong brand visibility. Metal framing provided controlled tension and alignment across the printed surfaces. The rigging arrangement also allowed the fabric elements to sit accurately within the wider scenic composition.


    Rather than functioning as independent graphic signage, the suspended branding became part of the exhibition architecture. The combination of fabric, metal framing and rigging created a lightweight yet technically controlled display solution. This helped Renault branding remain visually integrated throughout the completed stand environment.

    Expo 2020 Dubai – France Pavilion


    The completed Renault stand was installed within the France Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai. The pavilion provided a major international setting and required a high standard of fabrication and installation. Evolution Scenic’s scope brought together scenic construction, curved architecture, metalwork, aluminium fabrication, fabric branding and technical integration. Each component had to be delivered and installed as part of one coordinated exhibition environment.


    The curved platform established the main physical footprint of the stand. Surrounding metal walling helped define the activation area while maintaining the architectural geometry.

  • UAE Food Bank Campaign Scenic Stand Fabrication in Dubai

    Fabricating A Compact UAE Food Bank Campaign Stand


    The UAE Food Bank partnered with Madinat Jumeirah LLC to develop a campaign stand in Dubai during 2023. The project required a compact but visually defined environment that could combine campaign branding, digital content, interactive technology and integrated lighting within a restricted stand footprint.


    Evolution Scenic was responsible for the complete scope of work, covering design, technical development, scenic fabrication, graphics production, installation and de-rig. Managing the full package allowed the structural, scenic and branded elements to be developed together rather than introduced as separate components during installation.


    The completed stand measured 4.6 metres by 4.6 metres. Within this footprint, Evolution Scenic fabricated steel-framed walls with MDF scenic cladding and textured wallpaper finishes, together with a sloped polycarbonate roof structure. Integrated screens, LED lighting, illuminated flooring and custom branding elements were incorporated throughout the stand.


    The interior also included a purpose-built MDF iPad unit for touch-enabled interaction, while the central wall housed a large LED screen. Additional built-in screens were integrated into the triangular feature wall, allowing digital content to become part of the scenic architecture rather than relying on freestanding display equipment.


    The completed environment brought structural metalwork, scenic carpentry, graphics, lighting and digital integration into one coordinated system. By developing the roof, walls, screens, illuminated flooring and interactive elements as part of the same fabrication approach, Evolution Scenic created a compact campaign stand with a consistent physical and visual language.

    Organising The Environment Within A Restricted Footprint


    The 4.6-by-4.6-metre stand required careful use of the available wall and floor area. Within this compact footprint, Evolution Scenic needed to integrate structural walling, digital displays, interactive technology, lighting and campaign branding without making the space feel visually fragmented.


    A large central LED screen formed the principal digital focal point, while additional built-in screens were incorporated into the triangular feature wall. These display elements had to be coordinated with the surrounding scenic construction so that the screens appeared as part of the fabricated wall system rather than as separate technical installations.


    The walls therefore performed several functions at the same time. Steel-framed structures established the stand footprint, MDF cladding created the finished scenic surfaces, and the wall elevations provided dedicated locations for screens, LED lighting and branded features. This allowed the available vertical surfaces to work efficiently within the restricted plan.


    At floor level, the vinyl finish incorporated integrated lighting effects. The illuminated lines extended the geometric language of the feature walls across the horizontal surface, helping visually connect the central screen, interactive iPad unit and surrounding branded elements.


    The resulting arrangement allowed several different functions to operate within a relatively small stand. Digital content, interaction, branding and lighting were distributed across the environment while the overall scenic construction remained clear, coordinated and visually consistent.

    Engineering The Sloped Steel-Framed Roof


    The stand was constructed with a controlled change in height, measuring 3.3 metres at the rear and 3.2 metres at the front. This 100-millimetre difference created the sloped roof profile and gave the upper structure a more defined architectural form.


    Evolution Scenic fabricated the roof around a steel structural frame. The steelwork established the perimeter of the overhead structure, connected with the supporting scenic walls and provided the rigidity required for the roof assembly within the compact 4.6-by-4.6-metre footprint.


    Polycarbonate panels were installed across the steel frame to complete the roof surface.

    Compared with a fully solid scenic ceiling, the polycarbonate treatment kept the overhead element visually lighter while still creating a clearly defined roof plane above the stand.


    The roof also had an important functional role in supporting the suspended central logo. A custom MDF logo with a paint finish was hung beneath the structure using steel rope supports, making the roof part of both the architectural and branding system rather than simply an overhead covering.


    Accurate coordination between the front and rear wall heights, steel frame, polycarbonate panels and suspended feature was essential to maintain the intended slope. The completed assembly created a clean upper profile while providing a secure structural framework for one of the stand’s principal scenic elements.

    Suspending The Central Scenic Logo


    A custom scenic logo was suspended beneath the centre of the sloped roof, creating one of the stand’s most prominent overhead features. Its position allowed the branding to remain clearly visible within the compact 4.6-by-4.6-metre environment without using any additional floor space.


    Evolution Scenic fabricated the logo as a custom MDF structure and completed it with a paint finish. Rather than applying the branding directly to a wall or fascia, the logo was developed as a separate three-dimensional scenic element with its own physical depth and presence.


    The finished logo was suspended from the steel roof structure using steel rope supports. These connections needed to be coordinated with the roof frame so that the logo could be positioned centrally beneath the polycarbonate panels while remaining visually balanced within the stand.


    Dimensional accuracy was important during both fabrication and installation. The location of the suspension points, the size of the MDF structure and the relationship between the logo and the sloped roof all needed to align correctly so the feature remained centred and visually consistent.


    The completed suspended element reinforced the campaign identity at high level and added another layer to the stand’s scenic construction. By integrating the logo into the roof structure, Evolution Scenic created a strong branded focal point while preserving the limited floor area for screens, interaction and circulation.

    Constructing The Triangular Feature Walls


    The stand’s visual language was developed around a series of triangular wall forms that gave the environment a distinctive geometric character. These shapes helped define the main display areas while creating a consistent relationship between the scenic construction, integrated technology and campaign branding.


    Evolution Scenic fabricated the feature walls using steel-framed structures clad with MDF. The steelwork provided the underlying support, while the MDF created the finished scenic surfaces required for the integrated screens, lighting details and applied branding. Textured wallpaper was then used across the visible front faces to complete the wall treatment.


    The triangular-themed wall incorporated LED lighting, built-in screens and prominent branding elements within the same fabricated assembly. Openings for the screens, illuminated details and finished wall surfaces therefore needed to be coordinated during fabrication rather than introduced as separate elements after installation.


    The triangular geometry was also carried through the illuminated detailing. Accurate setting-out was required so the LED lines followed the intended angles and remained visually consistent around the screen openings and surrounding scenic surfaces. This helped reinforce the geometric character of the stand across both the physical wall construction and the lighting treatment.


    The completed feature walls combined structural support, scenic cladding, digital displays, lighting and branding within one coordinated elevation. Rather than treating the screens as standalone technical equipment, Evolution Scenic integrated them directly into the fabricated wall system, allowing the digital content to become part of the overall scenic architecture.

    Integrating The Central LED Screen Wall


    A separate central feature wall was developed to house the stand’s principal LED screen and create the main digital focal point within the environment. Its position gave the screen a strong visual presence while keeping it integrated with the surrounding scenic architecture.


    Evolution Scenic fabricated the wall using a steel-framed structure clad with MDF. The LED screen was incorporated directly into the wall assembly rather than positioned as freestanding technical equipment, allowing the display to sit within a controlled architectural frame.


    Textured wallpaper continued across the visible wall surfaces around the screen. This finish connected the central display wall with the rest of the stand and helped maintain a consistent scenic treatment across the different fabricated elements.


    The screen opening, MDF cladding and surrounding finishes were coordinated during fabrication so that the digital equipment could be integrated cleanly into the completed wall. This reduced the visual separation between the technical display and the scenic structure, allowing both to read as part of one designed environment.


    The completed central wall acted as the primary digital presentation surface, while the additional built-in screens within the triangular feature wall extended screen-based content across the wider stand. Together, these elements created a coordinated display system integrated directly into the scenic construction.

    Fabricating The Ribbed Branding Wall


    A further scenic wall treatment introduced painted rib panels with a backlit logo positioned above them. This created a more dimensional surface within the stand and provided a clear visual contrast to the flatter textured-wallpaper finishes used across the other fabricated walls.


    Evolution Scenic fabricated the ribbed wall elements as part of the wider scenic package and completed them with a paint finish. The repeated vertical detailing added depth to the wall surface while creating a structured backdrop for the illuminated branding.


    The backlit logo was then fixed above the ribbed section in its designated position. Integrating the logo directly into the wall composition allowed the illumination to reinforce the campaign identity without relying on a separate freestanding sign or additional display structure.


    This wall-mounted branding feature worked differently from the suspended MDF logo beneath the roof. Together, the two elements created branding at different levels within the stand, with one integrated into the scenic wall elevation and the other suspended overhead as a three-dimensional focal point.


    Additional illuminated signage was also incorporated elsewhere within the stand. By combining ribbed scenic detailing, painted finishes and backlit branding, Evolution Scenic created a more layered wall treatment while maintaining consistency with the wider fabricated environment.

    Creating The Interactive iPad Stand


    Evolution Scenic fabricated a custom MDF stand to hold an iPad, creating a dedicated interactive element within the stand rather than relying on a standard technology pedestal. The upper section of the unit incorporated a purpose-made provision for the device, allowing the iPad to sit securely within the fabricated structure and operate as a touch-enabled interaction point.


    Developing the unit as a bespoke scenic element helped it relate visually to the surrounding walls, digital displays and branded features. Its form could therefore be coordinated with the wider stand rather than appearing as a separate technical addition.


    The iPad stand supported both guest interaction and ceremonial use, giving the stand a functional digital touchpoint within the compact 4.6-by-4.6-metre footprint.


    Positioning the unit close to the main display area allowed the interactive and screen-based elements to work together as one coordinated zone. The finished piece combined practical device integration with the same MDF fabrication approach used across the wider scenic environment.

    Coordinating Flooring, Lighting And Glass Branding


    Durable vinyl flooring was installed throughout the stand, providing a practical finished surface across the compact 4.6-by-4.6-metre footprint while also contributing to the overall scenic treatment.


    Integrated lighting effects were incorporated into the floor finish, creating illuminated linear details that extended the stand’s geometric language from the walls into the horizontal plane. This helped connect the central screen wall, triangular feature walls and interactive iPad unit through one consistent visual approach.


    The floor lighting also added definition without introducing additional freestanding scenic elements. By integrating the illuminated details directly into the flooring, Evolution Scenic was able to reinforce the stand’s visual identity while keeping the circulation area clear and uncluttered.


    Glass panels etched with the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum logo introduced a contrasting material treatment within the environment. Their transparent appearance provided a lighter visual counterpoint to the solid MDF-clad walls, textured wallpaper and painted rib-panel surfaces.


    Together with the illuminated signage, backlit wall logo and suspended roof feature, the etched glass panels formed part of a layered branding system. Different materials, lighting methods and mounting positions were used to reinforce the campaign identity while maintaining consistency across the complete scenic installation.

    Installing And Completing The Stand


    Evolution Scenic handled the complete installation and subsequent de-rig, bringing together the structural, scenic, digital and branding packages within the compact 4.6-by-4.6-metre footprint.


    The installation sequence coordinated the steel-framed walls, MDF cladding, textured wallpaper finishes, sloped polycarbonate roof, integrated screens, lighting, glass branding and custom scenic elements. Each component needed to be positioned accurately so the finished stand maintained the intended geometry and visual consistency.


    The roof structure and suspended MDF logo required careful alignment above the completed walls, while the central LED screen, built-in displays and interactive iPad stand needed to correspond precisely with their fabricated openings and provisions. The illuminated floor lines also had to align with the wall geometry and feature details.


    These interfaces were important to the overall result. Misalignment between the screen wall, triangular feature elements, illuminated flooring or suspended logo would have disrupted the clarity of the design and weakened the relationship between the different scenic components.


    The stand was completed in accordance with the client schedule and instructions. The finished environment demonstrated Evolution Scenic’s ability to coordinate structural metalwork, scenic fabrication, finishes, digital integration, lighting and custom branding within a compact temporary installation.

  • THA Stand Scenic Fabrication for Saudi Event Show 2024 in Riyadh

    Developing the Compact Scenic Architecture


    For the Saudi Event Show 2024, THA commissioned Evolution Scenic to design, fabricate and install a complete exhibition stand in Riyadh. The stand occupied a six-by-six-metre footprint and reached 2.5 metres in height, requiring the scenic architecture to make efficient use of the available 36-square-metre area while maintaining a strong visual presence within the exhibition hall.


    The layout needed to accommodate several practical functions within the same compact footprint. Digital displays, branded scenic surfaces, informal seating, meeting furniture and concealed storage all had to be integrated without restricting circulation or creating an enclosed environment. Rather than treating these requirements as separate additions, Evolution Scenic developed them as interconnected components of one coordinated temporary architecture.


    A three-fascia angular wall formed the principal internal structure. Its geometry created multiple usable elevations for screen integration, graphics, illuminated branding and seating functions, while also helping to organise the stand into distinct zones. Three freestanding illuminated pillars were positioned around the perimeter, providing vertical brand visibility while helping define the outer limits of the stand without relying on continuous wall construction.


    The entire environment was established on a customised raised platform, which created a consistent base for the scenic walls, pillars, furniture and circulation areas. The platform helped visually separate the THA stand from the surrounding exhibition floor while bringing the different fabricated elements together as one architectural composition.


    Maintaining openness was an important part of the spatial approach. Continuous perimeter walls could have reduced visibility and limited access from the surrounding aisles, so the stand instead used the angular central wall and individual pillars to create definition without forming enclosed boundaries. This allowed the finished environment to retain several open approaches while still presenting a clear and recognisable scenic identity.

    Fabricating the Three-Fascia Scenic Wall and Integrated Displays


    The principal scenic structure was developed as a triangular wall with three distinct visible fascias. This configuration allowed Evolution Scenic to create several functional elevations within a compact footprint, using one fabricated form to support digital displays, branding, seating and concealed storage.


    The first fascia incorporated a television screen mounted against a birch plywood slat panel. Concealed storage was integrated behind the same elevation, allowing the wall to perform both a visual and operational role. This fascia also formed the scenic backdrop to one of the seating areas, helping define the space without introducing an additional freestanding partition.


    The second fascia incorporated another television screen within a wall finished with vinyl graphics. By integrating the display directly into the scenic surface, the screen became part of the overall architectural composition rather than appearing as a separate technical element. The graphic finish also allowed the fascia to maintain a strong branded presence around the digital content.


    The third fascia continued the vinyl graphic treatment and incorporated an LED-lit THA sign as its primary focal point. This introduced a different visual function to the same structure, extending the brand identity across another viewing direction while maintaining consistency with the neighbouring elevations.


    Both television screens were built into the scenic wall system rather than positioned on freestanding monitor units. The screen mounted to the birch plywood slats was secured using a bracket holder, requiring accurate coordination between the mounting position and surrounding slat layout. Combining the displays, branding, seating and storage within one angular scenic structure also reduced the need for additional standalone elements within the limited floor area.

    Constructing the Birch Plywood Seating Backdrop


    Birch plywood slats formed one of the stand’s principal architectural finishes, introducing a warmer material character within the compact exhibition environment. The vertical slat arrangement created a repeated linear rhythm that contrasted clearly with the matt-black painted pillars and geometric vinyl graphics used elsewhere across the stand.


    The slatted fascia was developed as more than a decorative backdrop. It supported an integrated television screen, concealed an internal storage area and provided a finished architectural surface behind one of the stand’s seating zones.


    By combining these functions within a single fabricated wall, Evolution Scenic reduced the need for additional freestanding structures within the limited floor area. The concealed storage also allowed operational items to remain out of view while keeping the seating area visually clean and organised.


    The natural appearance of the birch plywood established a strong material relationship with the wood-effect PVC flooring applied across the raised platform. This helped connect the vertical and horizontal finishes and created a more unified scenic composition.


    The result was a multifunctional backdrop that combined joinery, display integration, concealed storage and seating definition within one coordinated architectural element.

    Engineering Illuminated Branding Pillars with Concealed Storage


    Three freestanding scenic pillars were fabricated around the perimeter of the THA Stand, helping define the outer edges of the exhibition environment without creating continuous walls. Their vertical form also provided strong branding points that could be viewed from different approaches across the exhibition floor.


    Each pillar was finished in matt-black paint and incorporated LED-lit THA signage. The contrast between the dark scenic finish and illuminated branding increased the visual prominence of the pillars while maintaining consistency with the wider material palette of the stand.


    Two pillar configurations were produced. One Type One pillar incorporated illuminated THA signage across two faces, while two Type Two pillars carried illuminated branding across three faces to increase visibility from multiple viewing directions.


    The pillars were also developed as functional storage structures. Internal storage units were concealed behind push-pull latch access doors integrated into the finished surfaces, allowing the doors to remain visually discreet within the overall scenic construction.


    Combining branding and storage within the same fabricated elements improved the efficiency of the limited stand footprint. It allowed Evolution Scenic to provide practical operational storage without introducing additional freestanding cupboards that could have reduced circulation, seating or meeting space.

    Constructing the Raised Platform and Ramped Access


    The complete THA Stand was established on a customised plywood platform, creating a defined base for the scenic walls, illuminated pillars, seating and furniture. The raised floor also helped distinguish the exhibition environment from the surrounding venue surface and provided a consistent foundation across the six-by-six-metre footprint.


    Wood-effect PVC flooring was installed across the upper surface of the platform. The finish introduced a warmer material tone that complemented the birch plywood slat wall and helped visually connect the principal scenic elements across the stand.


    Two ramps were incorporated on opposite sides of the platform, providing access from more than one exhibition aisle. This arrangement supported movement into and across the stand while reducing reliance on a single entry point.


    Corner guards were fitted to the exposed platform edges to protect vulnerable areas and provide a cleaner transition between the raised scenic floor and the surrounding exhibition surface.


    The platform therefore functioned as an integrated part of the scenic construction rather than simply a decorative floor finish, coordinating the stand footprint, access routes, edge protection and final surface treatment within one fabricated base.

    Coordinating Scenic Finishes, Graphics and Furniture


    The completed THA Stand used a controlled combination of natural timber tones, matt-black scenic finishes, geometric graphics and selective illumination. These materials were coordinated to give the compact environment a clear visual identity while maintaining consistency across the different fabricated elements.


    The perimeter pillars were finished in matt-black paint, creating a strong contrast with the illuminated THA signage. Birch plywood introduced a warmer natural finish to the principal seating and screen backdrop, while the wood-effect PVC flooring extended related tones across the raised platform.


    Two fascias of the triangular scenic wall were finished with vinyl graphics. The angular graphic treatment reinforced the geometry of the structure and helped connect the branded surfaces with the wider architectural composition. LED illumination was concentrated on the THA signage within the pillars and the principal branded wall, creating focused visual accents rather than illuminating every surface.


    Furniture was positioned within the open areas created by the scenic layout. Seating against the birch plywood backdrop established a defined meeting zone, while additional seating and tables occupied the more open sections of the platform without interrupting the principal circulation routes.


    Because concealed storage was incorporated within both the perimeter pillars and the central scenic structure, operational items could remain out of view. This allowed the visible floor area to remain focused on seating, interaction and circulation while keeping the overall stand composition clean and organised.

    Installing and Completing the Temporary Exhibition Environment


    Evolution Scenic handled the installation of the complete THA Stand in Riyadh, bringing together the fabricated scenic elements, integrated displays, graphics, lighting and furniture within the fixed six-by-six-metre footprint.


    The customised plywood platform established the base for the installation, with the two access ramps, three-fascia scenic wall and freestanding illuminated pillars positioned to maintain the intended circulation and open approach from the surrounding exhibition aisles. Accurate setting-out was important to ensure the individual scenic elements aligned correctly within the compact stand layout.


    The television mounting brackets required precise positioning within the scenic wall surfaces so that both screens integrated cleanly with the surrounding finishes. At the same time, the push-pull access doors within the illuminated storage pillars needed sufficient clearance to remain fully functional once the furniture and seating elements were positioned.


    Electrical connections for the LED-lit THA signage were coordinated within the fabricated structures without disrupting the matt-black painted surfaces or vinyl graphic finishes. The completed installation brought scenic joinery, digital displays, illuminated branding, concealed storage, seating and raised flooring together as one coordinated temporary environment.


    The angular wall consolidated several display and operational functions within a single scenic structure, while the perimeter pillars combined brand visibility with concealed storage. Together with the continuous wood-effect flooring and opposing access ramps, these elements created a compact exhibition stand in which scenic fabrication, architectural finishes, screen integration and spatial planning worked as one cohesive construction.

    Building a Coordinated Innovation Environment for AD Port Group


    AD Port Group Innovation in Abu Dhabi required a complete temporary environment combining exhibition spaces, presentation infrastructure, branded scenic features and integrated technology. The different areas needed to operate as one coordinated installation while maintaining a consistent architectural and visual language throughout the venue.


    Evolution Scenic handled the design, technical development, scenic fabrication, graphics production, installation and de-rig for the 2025 project. The principal scope included 16 custom exhibition booths, a 12-metre-wide main stage, a branded welcome wall with an illuminated logo, modular and illuminated branding elements, boat cladding and bleacher covers.


    Evolution Technical supplied the LED screens and their supporting systems, while Evolution Furniture provided all furniture used throughout the project. This required coordination between screen positions, scenic walling, counters, storage units and furniture layouts so the technical and operational elements could be integrated cleanly into the fabricated environment.


    The completed delivery brought the scenic, technical and furniture packages together as one temporary environment. Booth walling accommodated screens and cable access, counters and cabinets supported daily booth operations, while the stage, welcome feature, branding elements and specialist cladding extended the same scenic language across the wider project.

    Developing Sixteen Custom Exhibition Booths


    The principal exhibition environment comprised 16 custom booths arranged across several pavilion configurations. The layout needed to create a clear and consistent scenic identity while allowing individual booth areas to support different branding, screen content and operational requirements. Each booth was therefore developed as part of a wider exhibition system rather than as a standalone structure.


    Six booths formed the right-side pavilion, while five were positioned within the left-side pavilion. Two back-to-back structures created a further four individual booth faces, making efficient use of the available floor area. One additional standalone booth was positioned close to the auditorium seating platform, extending the same scenic language into a separate part of the venue.


    Thirteen of the booths measured three metres by three metres with an overall height of three metres. Three larger booths measured three metres by six metres and were also three metres high. Using these two standard footprints allowed the project to accommodate different spatial and operational requirements while maintaining consistent proportions across the exhibition environment.


    The booth system also needed to support branding, digital displays, visitor interaction and concealed storage within the same compact footprint. Counters, screen positions and internal storage had to be integrated without disrupting the clean scenic appearance of the walls and portal features. This required careful coordination between the structural layout and the functional requirements of each booth.


    Maintaining alignment between the platforms, wall lines and repeated architectural details was important to the overall composition. The consistent booth heights and shared construction language helped the different pavilion areas read as one coordinated temporary exhibition environment, while still allowing each booth to carry its own individual graphic identity.

    Establishing a Repeatable Scenic Construction System


    Custom plywood platforms formed the base of the exhibition booths and created a consistent foundation across the different pavilion areas. Carpet was installed across the platform surfaces to provide a clean finished floor within each booth. This also helped visually separate the fabricated exhibition spaces from the surrounding venue floor.


    The booth walls were constructed using plywood internal framing clad with MDF. This combination provided the structural support required for the temporary scenic environment while creating smooth, uniform surfaces for the final finishes. The wall system could then be repeated across both the standard and larger booth configurations.


    White paint was used as the principal scenic finish across the booth walling. Applied vinyl graphics introduced the individual branding and content required for each exhibitor without changing the underlying construction system. This allowed each booth to carry its own identity while remaining part of the same overall architectural language.


    The repeated construction method could be adapted according to each booth’s operational requirements. Screen positions, graphic layouts, counters and storage elements changed between booths, while the internal framing, cladding and finishing principles remained consistent. This helped simplify fabrication while maintaining flexibility across the 16-booth environment.


    Repeated wall proportions, portal forms and white scenic surfaces created visual continuity throughout the pavilions. Rather than appearing as a collection of unrelated exhibition stands, the booths read as one coordinated temporary architecture. The consistency of the underlying construction system supported both the practical build process and the overall scenic composition.

    Integrating Screens, Counters and Storage


    LED screens formed an important part of the exhibition environment and needed to be integrated directly into the scenic booth construction. Evolution Technical supplied the screens and their supporting systems, while Evolution Scenic coordinated the surrounding wall structures and screen positions.


    Cable-management access was incorporated into every wall where a television screen was mounted. This allowed power, signal and technical connections to remain accessible while keeping the visible booth surfaces clear of loose cabling and unnecessary technical clutter.


    The access provisions also allowed the screens to be installed, connected and checked without requiring the completed scenic walling to be dismantled. This helped maintain both the operational function of the technical equipment and the clean appearance of the finished booth interiors.


    Every booth included a front counter with internal storage. These counters created a consistent visitor-facing frontage while providing concealed space for operational materials, equipment and general booth requirements.


    The three larger booths also incorporated rear worktops with fitted storage cabinets. These additional joinery elements increased the practical working capacity of the wider booths while remaining integrated within the same scenic construction and finish language.

    Configuring Pavilion and Back-to-Back Booth Layouts


    The booth system needed to respond to several different spatial conditions while maintaining the same scenic language throughout the exhibition environment. The right- and left-side pavilions used repeated booth modules to create continuous elevations with consistent proportions and detailing.


    Platform edges, wall lines, counter positions and repeated overhead features were kept visually aligned across the pavilion areas. This repetition helped establish a clear architectural rhythm and allowed the individual booths to read as part of one coordinated temporary structure.


    The two back-to-back booth assemblies required a different layout approach. Each shared structure supported branding and booth functions on both sides, creating four individual booth faces from two central scenic constructions.


    Freestanding branded totems were positioned within the back-to-back booths, while display tables were installed at the front to provide additional presentation surfaces. These elements supplemented the integrated counters without interrupting the shared wall arrangement.


    The back-to-back configuration made efficient use of the available floor area while still allowing each booth face to retain its own graphic identity and visitor approach. The standalone booth near the auditorium seating platform followed the same three-metre-high scenic language, keeping it visually connected to the larger pavilion environment.

    Constructing the Main Stage and Scenic Backdrop


    Evolution Scenic fabricated a custom main stage measuring 12 metres wide by four metres deep. The stage formed the principal presentation area within the project and needed to provide a stable, finished platform that could coordinate cleanly with the scenic backdrop and technical screen systems.


    A custom steel stage-deck system formed the primary supporting structure. Plywood decking was installed above the steel framework to create a continuous surface, before carpet was applied across the top to complete the visible stage finish.


    This layered construction allowed each material to perform a specific function within the build. The steel deck provided the structural support, the plywood created a smooth and usable scenic substrate, and the carpet delivered the final presentation surface across the full stage area.


    Comfort monitors were positioned along the front of the stage as part of the presentation setup. Their placement needed to be considered alongside the stage edge and scenic arrangement so that the technical equipment remained functional without disrupting the overall appearance of the presentation area.


    The stage backdrop was fabricated from an internal timber-framed structure clad with MDF and finished with paint. The deck, backdrop and screen systems were coordinated as one presentation environment, helping the scenic and technical elements appear integrated rather than added as separate components.

    Creating the Illuminated Welcome and Branding Features


    The entrance environment incorporated a custom branded welcome wall that established a clear focal point within the project. The structure was fabricated from timber framing and clad with MDF, creating a smooth scenic surface suitable for the required graphic and lighting treatments.


    Vinyl graphics were applied across the visible wall faces to introduce the project identity and maintain consistency with the wider exhibition environment. The scenic walling therefore worked as both a structural feature and a large-format branding surface within the entrance area.


    A CNC-cut logo was integrated directly into the wall and illuminated from behind. The backlighting added depth and visibility to the logo, transforming it from a flat graphic element into a more dimensional scenic feature within the reception environment.


    A custom counter with internal storage was positioned in front of the welcome wall. This provided a practical reception point while remaining visually connected to the surrounding scenic architecture and branded backdrop.


    Illuminated branding panels and modular branding panels were also included within Evolution Scenic’s confirmed scope. These additional elements extended the visual identity beyond the main welcome feature and helped create a more consistent branded language across the wider temporary environment.

    Fabricating Boat Cladding and Bleacher Covers


    The boat cladding required a different construction approach from the prefabricated exhibition structures used elsewhere in the project. Rather than arriving as a completed freestanding scenic element, the cladding had to be developed directly around the existing boat and its installed position within the venue.


    A plywood supporting structure was formed around the required area of the boat and then clad with MDF. This created the scenic surface needed for the final finish while allowing the structure to follow the shape and proportions of the existing feature more closely.


    Vinyl graphics were applied across the completed MDF cladding to create the visible branded finish. The entire scenic assembly was fabricated on site, allowing the framework, cladding and graphics to be adjusted in response to the actual installation conditions rather than relying only on workshop measurements.


    This site-based fabrication process required the structure to be measured, formed and finished around an existing object. It differed from the booth and stage packages, where a larger proportion of the scenic construction could be developed as repeatable fabricated components before installation.


    Bleacher covers were also included within Evolution Scenic’s scope. These covers helped visually complete the auditorium seating infrastructure and allowed the bleacher area to sit within the same coordinated scenic language as the exhibition booths, stage and wider branding features.

    Coordinating Scenic, Technical and Furniture Delivery


    Three Evolution divisions contributed to the completed environment, each delivering a defined part of the project. Evolution Scenic handled the design, technical development, fabrication, graphics production, installation and de-rig, while the technical and furniture packages were coordinated alongside the scenic build.


    Evolution Technical supplied the LED screens and their associated support systems. This required close coordination with the fabricated booth walls so that screen positions, supporting structures and cable routes could be accommodated without disrupting the finished scenic surfaces.


    Evolution Furniture provided all furniture used throughout the project. Furniture layouts needed to work alongside the booth counters, storage areas, circulation routes and presentation spaces so that the operational use of each area remained practical within the temporary environment.


    Coordination between the three packages was particularly important at the interfaces between scenic construction and technical equipment. Screen dimensions affected wall construction, cable routes influenced access provisions, and furniture placement needed to remain compatible with the booth layouts and visitor circulation.


    The same approach applied to the main presentation area, where the stage structure, scenic backdrop, screens and comfort monitors needed to function as one coordinated system. Bringing the scenic, technical and furniture packages together helped maintain consistency across the exhibition booths, stage, entrance environment and auditorium areas.

    Installing and Delivering the Complete Environment


    Evolution Scenic handled the complete installation and subsequent de-rig of the project. The installation sequence needed to coordinate booth platforms, wall structures, counters, stage components, graphics, screens and furniture so that each package could be completed without disrupting the surrounding finished work.


    Booth platforms and primary scenic walling were positioned before the final technical equipment and furniture were integrated. Painted, carpeted and vinyl-finished surfaces also needed to be protected during the remaining installation stages so that the completed scenic environment maintained a clean and consistent finish.


    The boat cladding introduced an additional site requirement because its plywood support structure, MDF cladding and vinyl graphic finish were all produced at the venue. This required the scenic team to fabricate and finish the structure directly around the installed boat while working within the operational conditions of the site.


    All installation and de-rig activities were completed in accordance with the client’s rules and the restrictions applying to the venue.     Building More Than 24 Bespoke Exhibition Environments


    The 2022 Make it in the Emirates forum required a large-scale exhibition environment capable of presenting a diverse collection of UAE companies and organisations within the Abu Dhabi Energy Center. The space needed to accommodate multiple exhibitors while maintaining a consistent overall visual language throughout the venue.


    Evolution Scenic designed and built more than 24 bespoke exhibition stands, with each environment tailored to the identity, branding and presentation requirements of the organisation it represented. This allowed every exhibitor to retain its own character while remaining part of a cohesive event environment.


    From a fabrication perspective, this created a substantial requirement for repeatable scenic construction across multiple custom-built spaces. Although each stand had its own layout, graphics and configuration, the structures needed to be manufactured to a consistent standard and installed efficiently as part of one larger temporary environment.


    The resulting exhibition featured custom scenic walls, portals, counters, display areas and architectural elements, with integrated graphics, screens and lighting helping to create complete branded environments across the exhibition floor.

    Creating Architectural Forms From Scenic Fabrication


    The exhibition was developed around a consistent architectural language, using angular portals, projecting canopies, recessed wall sections and freestanding scenic structures to create depth and visual interest across the individual stands.


    MDF scenic cladding formed the finished surface for many of these structures, allowing clean edges, precise geometric profiles and smooth architectural finishes. Behind the visible panels, timber and metal framing provided the necessary support for the larger fabricated forms and helped maintain their overall shape and stability.


    A custom-made 3D Make it in the Emirates logo installation was also fabricated as a prominent feature within the event environment. The dimensional logo was constructed on a purpose-built platform, finished with paint and enhanced with integrated lighting to define the angular forms and create a strong illuminated presence.


    The combination of structured framing, scenic cladding and custom 3D fabrication made it possible to create more refined exhibition environments than conventional modular stand systems. Careful coordination between the internal structure, finished surfaces and integrated lighting ensured that each element maintained a clean and consistent architectural appearance throughout the venue.

    MDF Cladding and Scenic Finishes


    The visible surfaces across the exhibition were predominantly clean and architectural, with light-coloured finishes giving the structures a refined stone or concrete-inspired appearance. MDF was used as the principal scenic cladding material, providing a smooth and versatile surface for the custom-built walls, counters, portals and feature structures.


    Its machinability allowed the fabrication team to produce crisp corners, straight runs and precise angular profiles across the stands, supporting the strong geometric language of the overall design. The MDF surfaces were then finished through the scenic paint and finishing process to achieve a consistent appearance across the different fabricated elements.


    The finishing palette was further developed through a combination of stone-effect surfaces, high-gloss black feature panels and carefully detailed counter fronts. Integrated downlighting within the projecting canopy structures added depth to the finished MDF forms, while green wall elements introduced a natural contrast against the hard architectural finishes and helped define individual exhibition spaces.


    This combination of accurate fabrication and carefully applied finishes helped create a polished architectural look throughout the exhibition, while maintaining visual consistency between individual stands and the wider event environment

    Building Around LED Display Technology


    Digital screens were incorporated into numerous exhibition structures, forming an important part of the presentation and communication strategy across the event environment. 


    The screens were recessed within fabricated walls and feature panels, creating clean, integrated presentation areas for digital content while maintaining the architectural character of each stand. This approach allowed the technology to feel like part of the scenic design rather than a separate add-on.


    The scenic fabrication was developed to accommodate the dimensions and depth of the display hardware while maintaining a neat finished surround. Openings, panel depths and framing needed to be coordinated carefully so that each screen sat correctly within the structure and aligned with the surrounding surfaces.


    By integrating the displays directly into the scenic architecture, the stands achieved a more refined and cohesive appearance while still providing flexible digital platforms for branded content, presentations and visual communication.


    The integration of display technology was supported by complementary scenic elements including illuminated portals, feature towers and interactive presentation points, allowing digital content to be distributed throughout the exhibition environment. This combination of screens, lighting and custom-built structures created a layered visitor experience, while maintaining a consistent architectural finish across the individual stands.

    Main Stage and Branded Scenic Architecture


    The project extended beyond the exhibition floor into the main presentation environment, where the scenic language was carried through into a large-scale stage designed for keynote speeches, panel discussions and official ceremonies.


    Evolution fabricated a high-impact main stage incorporating custom scenic structures, branded finishes and a substantial digital presentation surface. The stage was developed with a strong architectural composition, using layered platforms, illuminated steps, scenic side towers and integrated branding to create a clear focal point within the auditorium.


    The large digital screen formed the central backdrop for presentations and event content, while the surrounding scenic elements framed the display and helped create a more complete branded environment. Dedicated seating areas, presentation positions and stage access were incorporated into the overall layout to support the different programme requirements.


    Integrated lighting within the stage edges, steps and scenic features added definition to the structure and strengthened the overall visual impact. The main stage followed the same fabrication approach as the exhibition stands, bringing together custom scenic architecture, branding, digital technology and lighting as one coordinated event environment.

    Panel Discussion and Signing Environments


    Dedicated panel discussion and signing zones were also constructed as part of the project, extending the scenic environment beyond the exhibition stands into more formal presentation and agreement-signing spaces.


    These areas required a different configuration from the exhibition floor, with the layout designed to support official meetings, presentations and signing activities. Custom scenic backdrops, branded side panels and a purpose-built signing desk helped create a professional and clearly defined environment for these functions.


    The signing area also incorporated a large digital backdrop, raised carpeted platform and coordinated branded graphics, creating a strong visual setting for photography, media coverage and formal ceremonies. The surrounding scenic elements helped frame the space while maintaining the same design language used throughout the wider event.


    A total of 32 Memoranda of Understanding were signed during the forum, making these dedicated environments an important part of the overall event delivery. Evolution’s role included constructing the physical settings required for these activities, extending the scenic scope from exhibition fabrication into temporary presentation and ceremonial architecture.

    Custom Furniture and Supporting Scenic Infrastructure


    The exhibition environments were completed with custom-built furniture, display counters and supporting structural elements, helping each area function as a complete and practical event space while remaining consistent with the overall scenic design.


    Counters were integrated directly into the scenic architecture rather than treated as separate furniture pieces. Reception and information points incorporated branded finishes, directional information and venue mapping, allowing functional visitor services to become part of the wider visual environment.


    Furniture and seating were positioned throughout the exhibition to create comfortable meeting, networking and presentation areas. Dedicated lounge settings incorporated upholstered seating, occasional tables and raised carpeted platforms, supported by custom scenic backdrops and integrated lighting to create clearly defined spaces within the venue.


    Supporting scenic infrastructure also included branded information walls, display features and purpose-built structures that helped organise visitor movement and communication across the event. This combination of scenic construction, custom furniture and functional elements allowed Evolution to deliver fully resolved environments rather than isolated fabricated walls.

    Coordinating a Multi-Zone Installation


    The scale of the project required multiple fabrication disciplines to come together within one coordinated installation, with numerous exhibition stands and shared spaces needing to operate as part of a unified environment.


    Carpentry and scenic construction formed the physical basis of the stands, while paintwork, graphics, lighting, greenery and digital displays completed the finished environments. Consistent architectural forms and material finishes helped maintain a clear visual language across the different zones.


    The installation also required careful coordination between circulation routes, individual stand layouts and shared presentation areas. Each display screen needed to fit its scenic opening, graphics had to align with finished panels, counters and furniture needed to sit correctly within the fabricated structures, and integrated lighting had to complement the overall scenic design.


    This level of coordination was essential to delivering a large-scale exhibition environment in which multiple bespoke spaces could function independently while still reading as one cohesive temporary architecture.

    Delivering a Consistent Scenic Finish Across Diverse Stands


    The finished installation demonstrates the value of maintaining a consistent fabrication standard across a large number of individual exhibition spaces, each with its own branding, layout and functional requirements.


    Although the stands represented different organisations and industries, the use of clean architectural forms, fabricated walls, integrated displays, graphics, coordinated lighting and carefully finished surfaces created a coherent visual environment throughout the Abu Dhabi Energy Center.


    Evolution's role covered the design and execution of the exhibition setup, ensuring that scenic, structural and branded elements were integrated consistently across multiple zones. Careful attention to proportions, finishes and detailing helped the individual stands retain their own identity while still belonging to the wider event environment.


    The completed project therefore demonstrates not simply the ability to fabricate an individual exhibition stand, but the ability to coordinate multiple bespoke scenic builds as one large temporary architectural installation with a unified level of finish and presentation.

  • Nano Robot Scenic Fabrication for Mansour Festival in Abu Dhabi

    Engineering the Nano Robot for Mansour Festival


    The 2024 Mansour Festival at Zayed Sports Complex required a large-scale scenic interpretation of the Nano Robot character. Evolution Scenic was responsible for designing, fabricating and installing the freestanding structure in Abu Dhabi. The completed robot measured approximately 8 metres wide, 6.3 metres deep and 3 metres high. Its wide overall dimensions were created by four projecting wing structures arranged around a more compact central body. The complete structure had an approximate weight of 100–150 kilograms.


    Although visually read as one object, the Nano Robot was not manufactured as one continuous component. Its construction was divided between a single central assembly and four separately fabricated wings. This division allowed the workshop team to preserve the scale of the final design while making the widest elements easier to transport and install.


    The central structure incorporated the main robot body and all four support legs. This section was fabricated as one piece, measuring approximately 3 metres in diameter and 3 metres high. Keeping the central body and legs together maintained their dimensional relationship throughout production and installation. The four wing structures extended from this central form to create the complete 8-metre width.


    Their projecting geometry gave the robot its distinctive silhouette, but also introduced practical constraints. Permanently fixing all four wings during workshop production would have created a component that was unnecessarily wide and difficult to transport. Evolution Scenic therefore treated the robot as a modular scenic system. The central section provided the principal freestanding structure, while the wings were developed as detachable assemblies.

    Constructing the Central Steel Assembly


    Mild-steel square tube formed the structural framework within the robot’s central body and legs. The steel structure established the main geometry, supported the shaped exterior and transferred the completed assembly onto four individual leg positions. Each leg incorporated a metal base plate at floor level. These plates provided defined contact points beneath the structure and supported the freestanding installation.


    Steel flat bars were incorporated at the top of the leg structures. These created attachment points for the main fiberglass body and helped connect the visible sculptural form to the internal framework below. The combination of square-tube framing, upper flat-bar connections and lower base plates created a continuous supporting arrangement from the main body to the venue surface.


    The visible bodywork was produced using shaped styrofoam with polyurea and fiberglass finishes. Styrofoam allowed the workshop team to develop the curved volume of the character around the internal metal structure. The material could be shaped into rounded transitions that would have been more difficult to achieve using flat sheet materials alone.


    Polyurea and fiberglass finishes were applied to protect and strengthen the shaped scenic surfaces. The bodywork concealed the internal square-tube construction while retaining the smooth, simplified geometry required by the character design. The four legs followed the same overall fabrication language. Their visible surfaces enclosed the structural metalwork, while the circular metal base plates remained positioned beneath them.

    Fabricating Four Modular Wing Assemblies & Acrylic Mirror Features


    The Nano Robot incorporated four wing structures, each fabricated as an individual component. This was a deliberate transport and installation decision. Separating the wings reduced the dimensions of the principal body assembly and protected the projecting elements during handling. Each wing was constructed around a metal supporting arm. Shaped styrofoam and fiberglass scenic elements were fixed to the arm to create the circular outer profiles and internal blade-like forms visible in the completed installation.


    The metal arm performed both a structural and logistical role. It supported the shaped wing components while also creating the connection through which each wing could be attached to the central body. The wings were completed using paint and applied vinyl graphics. Their black and yellow surfaces continued the visual language of the central robot body and defined the perimeter of the structure.


    Acrylic elements formed the dark mirror-like panels within the robot body. These components were manufactured from 6mm acrylic sheet and completed with a vinyl-applied finish. The existing project record identifies sourcing and shaping the transparent acrylic components as one of the production challenges.


    The acrylic needed to fit accurately within the surrounding shaped styrofoam while maintaining the intended visual relationship with the curved body surface. Metal strips were used to retain the acrylic panels within the styrofoam construction. This provided a physical fixing method rather than relying only on the applied finish or adhesive bond. The resulting detail combined three distinct materials: the structural metalwork behind the body, the shaped scenic surround and the finished acrylic feature panel.

    Coordinating Scenic Finishes, Transportation & Installation


    Paint and vinyl graphics were used across the central body and wing structures. The painted finish established the strong yellow and black colour treatment visible across the robot, while vinyl provided the branded lettering and additional surface graphics. The acrylic features also used applied vinyl to create their mirror-like visual finish. Coordinating these treatments required the visible surfaces to align across several material types, including fiberglass, acrylic and the wing components.


    The finish therefore depended on more than colour matching. Graphic positions, panel boundaries, curved surfaces and component junctions all needed to work together once the four wings were installed around the central body.


    The structure’s modular breakdown was established around transportation requirements. The central body and four legs were retained as one assembly. This reduced the number of major structural connections required at the venue and kept the main supporting geometry intact.

    Their metal supporting arms allowed the shaped scenic assemblies to remain complete while being handled independently from the robot body. This approach moved a substantial amount of detailed finishing into the workshop. The styrofoam shaping, fiberglass work, paint and vinyl graphics could be completed before the parts reached the venue. On site, the installation team could concentrate on positioning the central body, connecting the completed wing components and checking the relationship between all four assemblies.


    A rubber mat platform was installed beneath the completed robot. This formed a protective layer between the scenic structure and the existing venue surface. The four metal base plates rested within the defined installation footprint created by the mat. The mat also visually separated the robot from the surrounding ground without introducing a raised scenic deck. Because the central body and legs formed one assembly, their position needed to be established before the four projecting wings were installed. The modular wings could then be attached around the body without requiring the full 8-metre-wide structure to be transported as one piece.

    Delivering Within a One-Month Production Programme


    Evolution Scenic completed the production within one month. The programme included structural metal fabrication, styrofoam shaping, polyurea and fiberglass finishing, acrylic preparation, paintwork, vinyl graphics and the manufacture of four separate wing assemblies. This work was delivered while the project was also affected by extended approval periods, resource constraints and other concurrent workshop commitments.


    The completed components were transported to Zayed Sports Complex and assembled as an 8-metre-wide freestanding scenic structure. The finished Nano Robot demonstrates how a visually complex character can be resolved through a clear fabrication hierarchy: a rigid central steel structure, lightweight sculptural bodywork, separately manufactured projecting components and detailed acrylic and graphic finishes. Evolution Scenic’s delivery brought metalwork, three-dimensional scenic production, fiberglass construction, paintwork, graphics and installation together within one coordinated character build.
